see a beautiful sunrise and Himalayan Range like Kanchandzonga, Mount
Everest etc. One can see the horizon changing colors just before
sunrise and then the entire Himalayan range turns golden. It is truly a
majestic sight and Ghoom Monastery which is the oldest Monastery in
the area which was built in 1875 and one can see the image of Mythey Buddha 15ft. height on the way back from Tiger Hill.
Breakfast at the hotel and proceed for a city tour visiting Himalayan Mountaineering Institute(closed on Thursday) which was started by Tenzing Norgay after he climbed Mt. Everest, Zoological Park(closed on Thursday),Peace Pagoda, Tibetan Refugee Centre(closed on Sunday), Tenzing Rock, Gombu Rock and Tea Garden(from outside). Overnight at the hotel.
Breakfast at the hotel and proceed for an excursion to Mirik Lake. Mirik Lake: It is a newly started hill station in West Bengal and situated 48 kms west of Darjeeling near Nepal border with facility boating at lake which 1.25 long, it semi-artificial lake. Drive from to via natural forest & tea garden.
The main tourist area, Krishna-Nagar, is south of the lake. A 10 minute walk takes you to Bokar Gompa, home to Mahayana monks. One can catch the sunrise and sun set from Rameetay Dara. Visit to Pashupati Market. Later proceed to Darjeeling. Overnight stay at Hotel.
Darjeeling has a lot of places to visit nearby on a day tour and one of thebest places is Lamahatta.Overnight at hotel. Start the day tour earlyfrom Darjeeling at 9:00 AM. Your first destination is Takdah, a smallvillage about 28kms from Darjeeling. It takes about 1 hour 30 minutes toreach Takdah. I also visited Lamahatta, Tinchuley . You will visit theOrchid Center at Takdah. Out of the wide range of orchids, you can alsosee the Himalayan orchids here. On the way from Takdah & Tinchuleyvisit Gumba Dara view point to the best view of Kanchenjungaranges.Overnight stay at darjeeling Hotel. Then we will go for a Naturedrive at Tinchuley & Visit Tinchuley Monastery.
Breakfast at the hotel and drive to Bagdogra/NJP in time for flight/train to onward destination.
